Getting There
From Abroad
If you're traveling from abroad, we suggest flying to Boracay airport Caticlan (MPH) through Taiwan (TPE) or Manila (MNL). Due to common delays, avoid tight connecting flights. If flying through Manila, allow extra time for terminal transfers, typically via cab or ride-sharing. Consider exploring Manila, Makati and other areas before and after Boracay—there’s plenty to see, eat, and experience! Since our wedding is close to the holiday season, we recommend booking flights several months early.
From Manila
The closest Boracay airport is Caticlan (MPH). Booking separate round trips from Manila often offers better rates, especially with low-cost carriers like AirAsia or Cebu Pacific. These flights include carry-ons, but checked bags typically cost extra. Feel free to ask any questions or confirm bookings with us!
Suggested travel dates
We recommend arriving in Boracay no later than December 11. Upon arrival in Caticlan Airport, your accommodation will arrange transport to the port for a short boat ride to Boracay, and will also handle transport for your return back to the airport. 3-5 days in Boracay is ideal for both the wedding and some vacation and leisure time.
Where to Stay
Shangri-la Boracay
Shangri-la is the only place we had in mind once we settled on having our wedding celebration! This all-inclusive resort with two private beaches is tucked away from the busier parts of the island, providing an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Shuttles to the Main Beach are also available and free throughout the day.
If you’d like to join us in staying at Shangri-la, we reserved a limited number of rooms you may book at a discounted rate (view here) between December 10-14, 2025. Just mention the Pelayo-Suta Wedding to reserve.

METRO MANILA HOTELS
We advise staying in Makati or Bonifacio Global City (BGC) if you’re spending a few days in Manila. These areas are walkable, easier to navigate, tourist and foreigner-friendly, and relatively near Manila if you’d like to do more traditional sightseeing.
